My passion and dedication for horses is rooted in my childhood in Germany. I had the opportunity to ride with great mentors like Roswitha Holzhauer to further advance my dressage and jumping skills. My life moved to the United States and again I had the privilege to learn from reining horse trainer legend Francois Gauthier in North Carolina and also obtained my Bachelor Degree in Therapeutic Horsemanship. I specialized in developing young horses into reining horses, as well as teaching people with disabilities and youth at risk the fundamentals of horsemanship. In Texas I furthered my skills in training reining horses, coached Para Reining Riders at the NRHA Futurity and worked for Manion Ranch (Smooth as a Cat) under Cutting Futurity winner Phil Hanson. Returning back to education, I gained my teaching certificate which allows me to teach in the State of Texas. I taught in different behavioral units as well as for the Texas Juvenile Justice Department.
FROM COLT STARTING TO THE ADVANCED PERFORMANCE HORSE - Reining - Ranch Riding - Ranch Sorting - English Dressage
We train the horses’ mind as well as the body. It is important to train both to develop the horses desire to work harder and have his heart in his specialty. Developing the performance horse with heart is the approach to train holistically, mind, body and heart. It is important to understand the horse and gaining its trust to establish a partnership fulfilled with harmony. In our training program and lessons, we focus on harmony between horse and rider which equals joy, advancement and performance.
